Happy New Year Everyone!
Due to the Thomas Fire in Santa Barbara in December, Master Li is suggesting everyone in Santa Barbara to do Breath of Life: Qigong for the Lungs -- even the first few movements, to purify toxins from your lungs. Come to class on Wednesdays to practice!
Classes resume January 3, 2018.
Our new location: 222 E. Canon Perdido Street, Suite 306 (Use street parking for morning classes. OK to use the parking lot for evening and weekend classes!) You can reach the 3rd floor by stairs or elevator.
Master Junfeng Li is one of the true qigong masters in our lifetime and is the moving force behind bringing Sheng Zhen Gong, the qigong of Unconditional Love, to the world.
His life and his way of being is a living testament to the teachings embodied in this system of qigong. When in Santa Barbara, Master Li will be teaching on Thursday evenings 6:00- 7:00 pm, and some weekend mornings.
Master Li has been called away to China and will return in the Spring. We will post his return as soon as we know when that will be!
Mondays: Awakening the Soul and Union of Three Hearts Meditation
with Marybeth Johnson
Monday classes on hold as Marybeth travels. Look here for next start dates.
$15 single class
When the Heart is open, it possesses the qualities of willingness and suppleness, of having a natural sense of wonder and freedom from fear. As these qualities grow and develop, as the heart opens, one can return to the origin, to breathe the original breath and become one with the pulse of the universe. This qigong has the power to achieve this. When the soul is awakened, one’s life becomes inspired, and doubt and worry cease to exist.
This class is open to beginners and is taught comfortably seated in a chair.

Sheng Zhen Healing Gong is a restorative medical qigong that blends an ancient tradition with gentle, meditative movements performed seated on a chair. Sheng Zhen Healing Gong is an integration of healing traditions, using the power of nature to heal oneself, open the heart and bring stillness to the mind. After the recent fire in Santa Barbara, we will focus on adding some movements from Breath of Life: Healing for the Lungs to our practice.
All levels welcome.

Thursdays: Heaven Nature Gong and Union of Three Hearts Meditation

Thursdays: 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
weekly in March and April 2018
$15 single class
Heaven Nature Gong, a standing form. Qi flows through the body through the practice, and little by little, does its work of opening the Heart, releasing blockages, dissolving physical and emotional pain. Enjoy the graceful standing movements and see your body as a boat carrying you on a journey of discovering the meaning and joy of life. Through the practice of Heaven Nature Gong, invite Love and qi to nourish your True Self. As with all standing forms, the movements may be modified for sitting.
Union of Three Hearts is a seated, non-moving qigong that trains the mind. As this practice quiets the mind one is able to return to the Beginning – to connect with Heaven, Earth, and with all humanity. Simply breathe lightly and naturally. This helps the body relax. Lose all sense of yourself. Forget everything. Free the mind of all worries and thoughts. With a tranquil and peaceful mind, one can go back to the beginning of time and see the world with renewed understanding.
