The quality of the breath reflects the efficiency of the qi as it moves in the human body. When you befriend your breath and are comfortable with it, you befriend the qi. Movement in any form of Wuji Yuan Gong helps regulate the balance of qi which is reflected in the breath.
The lungs serve as a work station that processes the air the body breathes in for its needs. There are muscles and tissues that support this tireless human engine. What propels this engine and the surrounding tissues is the qi. For those who are generally well, this healing qigong will help maintain the efficiency of the lungs in the midst ofthe unhealthy air found in most cities today. But more importantly, it assists the lungs in its qigong function. The lungs are always in a state of exchange – breathing in, breathing out, receiving qi, giving qi. When the qi in the lungs is in balance, what follows is the harmony of the giving of oneself and the ability to embrace what life has to offer fearlessly.
Breath of Life consists of 10 movements, both sitting and standing.
Prerequisite: Comfortable with Sheng Zhen Healing Gong Stages One, and one standing form, such as Heaven Nature Gong, Releasing the Heart or Heart Mind as One.
12 California Acupuncture and Nursing CEU's offered.
This qigong is for calming the disposition. A calm disposition has no worries and is able to nurture qi. A calm disposition is empty; it has no cares. Qi is in harmony and the body is in balance. This qigong is both moving and non-moving. The physical movements are for cultivating qi. The inner stillness is to bring you back to the heart. When the physical movements have ceased, your Heart experiences its original purity. It is then that you are released from your past confusions and difficulties.
